Abstract

"A paid attendance of about 750 fans watched the game at Fort Scott yesterday between the local baseball club and the Kansas City Monarchs. […] The Negro club won easily, 12 to 0, as was expected, but fans generally think worth while to watch this fast colored aggregation in action. [...] The Monarchs are on a tour of this section enroute east, where they will play for the colored championship."
