Abstract
The application of tHe phase rule to inorganic systems has given valuable. Information regarding the behavior of mixtures of pure metals of known composition. Such studies are of basic importance in the science of metallurgy and are largely responsible for knowledge and for the manufacture of a countless number of alloys in use to-day. According to Marsh, the importance or ternary metallic systems is reflected by the number of diagrams appearing in the current literature.
