Abstract
This study was a comparison of the discussion method and the experimental method of presenting related information of factual nature to eighth grade junior high school students in the general shop. The population for this study was eighth grade boys enrolled in an Industrial Arts General Shop at the Northwest Junior High School in Kansas City, Kansas. The evaluation instruments in this study were objective tests designed to evaluate the information that groups of students received in the experiment. Tests contained alternate responses, multiple-choice, matching, and completion type questions. A pretest and posttest was administered, as well as a retention test twenty-one days after the posttest.
