Abstract
The Manhattan-Bronx Friends of the Sympony of the New World hosted a dinner and musical soiree on its behalf. The dinner honored "our venerable black musicians" and took place at the Hotel Concourse Plaza.Eva Jessye was one of the honored guests alongside Eubie Blake, Hall Johnson, William Lawrence, Paul Robeson, and William Grant Still, to name a few.
