Women in Government Series

 

The Women in Government Lecture Series was established at Pittsburg State University through a generous gift from the Helen S. Boylan Foundation to the PSU Foundation in 2001. Its objective is to provide the campus and community insight into the perspectives and experiences of key leaders while recognizing their contributions to the state, region, and nation.

    Kersee Currier and Laura Bush

    Laura Bush, former First Lady of the United States, shared remarks on education, literacy, volunteerism and human rights on April 22, 2015 at the then new Bicknell Family Center for the Arts. She also sat down with Kersee Currier, senior in Communications, for an interview.

    The Women in Government Lecture Series was established at Pittsburg State University in 2001 through a generous gift from the Helen S. Boylan Foundation to the PSU Foundation. The Boylan Foundation provided a special grant to bring the former first lady to the PSU campus.
