Description
1 photograph. Black & White photograph of Girard Typo Union No. 348 Working Cards issued to J. A. Wayland. The card on the left shows the monthly dues paid with stamps. Monthly dues were usually $.35 for local and $.40 collected for I.T.U. The local fee for April was $.60. The Working Card on the right was issued for the year ending May 31, 1905. The text reads: Members leaving the city or retiring from the business must take either a Traveling Card or a Certificate of Withdrawal, otherwise dues will accumulate against them. Underneath the date reads: This card must be presented to the Sergeant-at-Arms to gain admission to regular meetings.
The small Working Card at the bottom of the photo was for June 1902, ending July 1, 1902. Local fees for the months were $.20 and I.T.U. fees were $.20. The card was recorded by local union secretary C. Q. Bevans.
