Description
Black & White photograph montage of various shots of the United States Army Air Force, 93rd Bomb Group, 409th Bomb Squadron, circa 1942-1943, getting ready for an aerial bombing mission. Military personnel are studying maps; checking weather instruments; attending a briefing; and loading bombs into a Consolidated B-24 Liberator bomber, Serial No. 41-23734. The ground crew is fueling a Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bomber and checking one of the engines in the bottom images.
