This portrait of Andrew H. Whitesitt, pioneer in industrial education at Kansas State College of Pittsburg, was unveiled Sunday afternoon, June 6, during dedication ceremonies for Whitesitt Hall industrial education and art building at KSC. A significant figure in early-day development of the college's industrial education program, Whitesitt was a member of the faculty and department head from 1913 until his death in 1942. Tours of the building and its new $1500,000, 2-wing addition followed the dedication and unveiling ceremonies.
