Abstract

A World War I passenger list for soldiers travelling from Brest, France to Camp Dix in the United States via the USS America. The only person listed is George Sweatt, Battalion Sergeant Major of the 816th Pioneer Infantry. According to his memoir, he and a couple of others missed the original boat back to the U.S. as they were enjoying their time in Paris.
