Photos taken during the Gene DeGruson Lecture, The Kansas City Monarchs & America's National Pastime, given by Phil S. Dixon. He is a baseball historian and co-owner of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City. This Gene DeGruson Lecture, an annual series, took place on October 16, 2025.

The back of the card has his birth date and place, Walter Johnson's birth date and place, George's Negro World Series win history, and his nicknames. Card donated by Richard and Gloria Davis.
