Description
Program for a faculty string quartet consisting of Robert Pipkin, violin; William Wendlandt, viola; Markwood Holmes, violin; Walter Osadchuk, cello; assisted by Martha Pate, piano. They performed music composed by Boccherini, Robert Gauldin, and Beethoven. Program states "The Faculty Quartet can take special pride in programming "Partita" by Dr. Robert Gauldin of Eastman School of Music. Written in the spring of 1964, the composition won the Berkshire Award for Chamber Music in August. Composed for and dedicated to our quartet, the work receives its first performance tonight."
