Description
Frontenac's largest garage owned by John Silva and half-brother, Tony Bertone, burned to the ground after a fire early in the morning of February 1, 1928. According to the Pittsburg Headlight, February 1, 1928, the fire stretched from City Hall west to Crawford Street next to the Miners State Bank. Destroyed in the fire were four company cars, an ambulance, a new Buick sedan which belonged to the Friskel Undertaking Company, and other vehicles.
