Abstract
The aim of this investigation was to reveal the correlation between health knowledge and health practice, health knowledge and physical development, and physical development and health practice, of the children of the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades of the Horace Mann Elementary Training School of the Kansas State Teachers' College, Pittsburg, Kansas. To accomplish this aim, three questions arose. First, what was the health knowledge of the children? Second, what were their health practices? Third, what was their attainment in physical development? Their health knowledge was measured by the Pryor Health Test, for Grades 4, 5, and 6, Forms A and B. (Copies of all tests used in this investigation are to be found in the Appendix.) Their health practices were determined by means of an information blank complied by the writer. Their physical development was computed from tests given by a class in Physical Examinations. [Taken from Introduction]
