Program for a 1991 gala of the theme "Celebrating the Divas of the 20th Century," held by the eta Creative Arts Foundation of Chicago. "Honoring those women who personify in their lives those qualities of style, intelligence, compassion, commitment, and presence which is also the embodiment of the intrinsic strength of African people." Eva Jessye was one of 18 honorees, or "divas." Hers is the only honoree page available.
