Abstract

A celebration of Kansas Folks' Life funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Kansas Arts Commission and sponsored by the Kansas State Historical Society. The Eva Jessye Ensemble is described in the music section alongside the Gospelettes: Mennonite Triple Trio and Stanley & Theresa Kijowski. A picture of Eva Jessye with Deborah Pullum, Joyce Medford, and Lemual Shepard is on the page. A letter from Jessye to a Mr. Carr is attached, praising the writing of the festival publicity staff and talking about a couple of programs.
