Abstract
The orchestra, conducted by Dimitri Mitropoulos, performed Three Downtown Popular Concerts at Minneapolis Municipal Auditorium. Eva Jessye was the conductor for her choir, which performed spirituals and excerpts from Porgy and Bess.
There is a note to Jessye on top of the program reading "For Miss Jessye with all my admiration and respect for her great art. D Mitropoulos.
