Abstract

The third annual exposition for women's arts and industries, "illustrating the arts, industries, professions, and business occupations of colored women." It took place at the YWCA of Brooklyn.

"The purpose of this exposition to educate the public concerning the occupational enterprises of colored women so that such enterprises may gain greater appreciation, patronage and support and second, to inform young women concerning opportunities in vocational and avocational fields. The response of the public to the exhibits helf in 1928 and 1929 made it evident that these educational, advertising and values were being widely recognized."

Clara Burrill Bruce, assistant manager of Dunbar Apartments, and Eva Jessye, musical director and writer, gave addresses as part of the program.
