Abstract
The purpose of this project was to understand how current postpartum care practices affect women and investigate women’s understanding of current postpartum care practices. This project also sought to investigate recommendations for change in postpartum care practice, women’s knowledge of these recommendations, and how they perceive these changes in relation to their own care. The project was conducted via an anonymous online questionnaire and was distributed through social media. Results showed that most women were favorable to changes recommended by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the World Health Organization.
