Abstract
A Collegio article titled "Black Heritage Week reviewed," published on February 16, 1973, detailing events held during Black Heritage Week, February 3-11. Highlights included the Black Pearls drill team, a speech by Ron Washington (a law student from the University of Kansas), a speech by Gene Mason (W.I.N. member; member of the Civil Rights Commission in Topeka), the Soul Food Dinner, a performance by "Black Ecstasy," the KSC Variety Show, musical performances, the Afro Ball, and the KSC Gospel Choir. Also included is a color photograph of Earlie Nash at the Soul Food Dinner.
