Abstract

A pamphlet produced by the Black Heritage Committee for Black Heritage Week, February 3-10, 1971, at the Kansas State College of Pittsburg. It contains details about events held that week including films, speeches, the Afro Ball dance, a basketball game, the Soul Food Dinner, and various performances. Alex Haley, author of "The Autobiography of Malcolm X", and Dr. Charles Hurst, President of Malcolm X College, were both speakers that year. The back of the pamphlet has a poem titled "To Be Black" written by Benjamin Greer.
