Abstract
THE GREAT PLAINS POETS Profiles of the poets assembled for this special issue appear in connection with their work Available following the work of each author is information about the poet's professional career and a statement of philosophy.
CHARLES CAGLE, an award-winning creative writer, is Professor of English at Pittsburg State University. In the broader Pittsburg community, he played an active role in the Stilwell Hotel restoration project. His lecture on the life of Arthur Stilwell was printed and used to raise funds for the project.
RICHARD HOLINGER teaches English at Marmion Academy in Aurora, Illinois. His short fiction appears in numerous publications.
ANITA CHANCEY is a Pittsburg State University alumnus. She is currently employed at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in the Office of Medical Education and Research.
DONALD WAYNE VINEY, Professor of Philosophy at Pittsburg State University, has authored books and journal articles in his field. His Translation of Works of Jules Luquyer is reviewed in this issue of The Midwest Quarterly.
