Description

1 photograph. Black and White photograph reproduction printed on white paper entitled, "Viewing the Dead, Monongah, West Virginia, No. 19." The coffins are laid out on the main street in front of the Coliseum Restaurant for townspeople to view the miners who died December 6, 1907 in the worst mining explosion in U.S. history. This photograph is one of three printed on the page. The other photos are: "No. 5. Wives waiting for Husbands at Mine No. 8." and "On the way to the cemetery No. 13, Monongah, W. Va."
