Description

Black & White photograph montage of various shots taken in Europe during World War II by the United States Army Air Force. The top left image is of the Upton House, an art gallery and garden located approximately seven miles north west of Banbury, Oxfordshire in the county of Warwickshire in Great Britain. The top center image shows actress/entertainer, Martha Raye (1916-1994), visiting with USAAF personnel. The middle left photo shows His Majesty, King George VI (Albert Frederick Arthur George; 14 December 1895 – 6 February 1952), talking to USAAF Col. Edward J. "Ted" Timberlake during his November 13, 1942 visit at the 93rd Bomb Group base located in Alconbury, England. The other six images show various service personnel activities.
