Description
McKinney, Gertrude, 1917-2017, color photo, newsclip--Leona & Gertrude, Phillips sisters to compete in milking contest, 1937. Text reads "Leona Phillips, left, and Gertrude Phillips, right, daughters of R.E. Phillips, three miles southwest of Dennis, will compete for honors in the Guernsey milking contest at the Feess farm tomorrow. The contest will be at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The winner will represent the Guernsey breed in the final "Dairy day" meeting in Parsons on Dec. 2. Women eligible for the Guernsey contest must not be more than 25 years of age and must be single."
