Abstract

This problem was an attempt at collecting through the opinion of forty-five kindergarten teachers in Northeast Johnson County, Kansas, a selective list of kindergarten books suitable for use in the Antioch School, Merriam, Kansas. There was a great need for a preferred list of books to help teachers select materials which would meet the interests, needs, and experiences of the child and at the same time create a desire to read.
