Behind the Scenes - Printing the Little Blue Books, Slideshow

Above are a video and slideshow documenting the printing process of the Little Blue Book "Fourteen Little Essays," originally published in 1930. A collaborative effort between Special Collections team Sara DeCaro, Angel Abshire and Rafael Almeida, and the Art Department's Olivia Timmons and Alyssa Relph, the group tested and experimented methods until they got the process down to a science. The group used a Vandercook Universal I Power Test Press to print hundreds of copies of the Blue Book. These copies will be handed out at the 2025 National Council on Public History conference alongside a live printing demonstration.
