Pittsburg State: Then & Now

Yates Hall was built in 1964 as the campus' Physics and Math building, which it still serves as today. The building is dedicated to James A. Yates, professor and head of the departments of chemical and physical sciences when Pittsburg State University was the State Manual Training Normal School. Within Yates Hall is Kelce Planetarium, funded by Gladys Kelce as a memorial to her husband, L. Russell Kelce.
