Abstract
Supervised study had its inception with tho beginning of the Batavia plan in the late nineties. When one considers its increasingly wide adoption and its claims of efficiency, with however, relatively meager experimental evidence in substantiation of these claims — our actual proofs concerning the values of supervised study are inadequate.
It was on account of the conflicting opinions concerning supervised study and the desire to really test the plan, that the following investigations, under quite favorable conditions, were made in the Webb City, Missouri, High School.
