Abstract

This paper contains the results of studies made to determine the number and species of birds found Crawford County, why they are an economic asset, and why they should be protected and encouraged to come in greater numbers. Protection, attention to nesting facilities, and water supplies, are necessary to increase the number of these natural pest destroyers. They will conserve our material wealth in the form of crops and forests.
