Abstract
One can find from various sources information dealing with the general causes and results of the Danish War, but the part of Queen Victoria in this war has not been sufficiently emphasize. It was she with her persistent determination to keep England neutral, who decided the course for France and Russia. Had these three powers, France, Russia, and England, entered the war, either on the side of Prussia and Austria, or Denmark, Bismarck's ambitions in the Seven Weeks War and the Franco-Prussian engagement of 1870 would have been shattered before they were quite begun.
