Abstract
Enucleation, when used in Haematology, means that the erythrocytes lose their nuclei at some early stage of their development. The process is a normal happening in development of the red blood corpuscles of all mammals, with the exception of a very few, so that no mature red blood cell can be found containing a nucleus.
