Abstract
As the title of the thesis indicates, this study proposes to set forth Shakespeare's treatment of the common people who appear in his dramas. It is an attempt to show what dramatic use he makes of these people and what his attitude is toward them. for this purpose twenty plays including comedies histories, and tragedies have been studied.
