Gordon Parks wrote and contributed to over twenty books in his lifetime. His books of poetry, photographs, nonfiction, and fiction are inspired by aspects of real life, often people and their struggles along with his own experiences. From his first book in 1947 to his last in 2006, Gordon Parks' written works cover a breadth of topics and have reached a multitude of audiences.
